About Dr. Reimers


   

Karen Reimers, MD
Psychiatrist
Founder, PsychMDs Collaborative Care

Board certified in Psychiatry and licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Dr. Reimers is active in clinical, teaching and advisory roles. She trained in adult Psychiatry at SUNY Buffalo and then served as Senior Associate Consultant in Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.  She currently works in a variety of clinical settings in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area and rural Wisconsin. 

Her clinical interests include psychotropic medication management, geriatric psychiatry, addictions, mental capacity and collaborative care. 

Dr. Reimers is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. She enjoys teaching Psychiatry residents at the University of Minnesota and Hennepin-Regions training programs.


Dr. Reimers advocates Self-Help for her patients and their families. She is always on the lookout for great books and resources to help people improve their mental health and quality of life.
